Good morning!

Today is Thursday and we are going to have fun making sensory bottles and working gross motor skills.

Rainbow sensory bottle

What do we need?

·      Plastic water bottle or any other kind

·      Clear hair gel

·      Liquid watercolor in rainbow colors, or food coloring.

·      Sandwich size plastic bags

Objectives: To review colors and to feel different textures.

-Mix the hair gel with the watercolor.

-Mix just under 1/3 cup or 75 ml hair gel with one liquid watercolor at a time in a clear container such as a plastic cup or a glass. Blend the hair gel and the liquid watercolor until you get a solid and even color. I recommend putting it in a clear cup with a plastic bag inside. It will clean up a cinch too!

-Start with a little liquid watercolor and add more as you go. The darker colors such as red, green, blue, and purple should be pretty light. Otherwise, they will look nearly black in the bottle.

Tip: Make slightly more of orange and yellow as the other colors will cover them some as you can see in my own bottle. Next time I’ll be sure to do it that way!

-Squeeze the colored gel into the bottle.

-Take the first color and squeeze it into the bottom of the bottle. You could start with red or purple.

-Next, put in the next rainbow color. Repeat until all colors have been used. And don’t forget that you want more orange and yellow because they get eaten up by the other colors.

-Once you have all of your colors inside and have filled it to the top with gel, it’s time to play !!!

Days of the week and fruits

In this video you will learn about some fruits, and you will review “days of the week”.

Objectives: To learn concepts of the unit, as well as to review colors and the days of the week

Gross Motor Skills

You´ll have fun with this activity!

What do we need?

·      A rope, a piece of wood, a line made of paper… Whatever you have at home.

·      Four containers with a piece of red, yellow, green or red paper.

Objectives: To practice balance and to identify colors.
