Happy Friday for everyone!!!
To finish our week, we’ll make a super fun activity “stamping an egg”, we’ll enjoy dancing to the rhythm of “I’m so happy” and find the hidden spring vocabulary.
For this activity we’ll need a potato, a knife (only to be used by adults) and paint of different colors.
The first thing that we need to do is cut the potato in half and press the open end of the potato onto the towel to help absorb the moisture.
You will find that the insides are quite wet and can make the next step slippery and dangerous if you don’t dry them.
Once the open end of your potato is dry, you can begin cutting your designs into it. Mom and dad’s are going to help you to cut the potato making lines, circles, zig zags, and other shapes. You need to be careful because the potato can be slippery. Press the open end of the potato to the towel to dry it again, as cutting into it can create additional moisture. You are now ready for stamping.
Objective: Stamping using different colors.
Today we’ll dance to the rhythm “I’m so happy”, you love this song!!
We’ll practice the action verbs “clap”, “stomp”, “swing”, “dance”, “sing”, jump”, “touch”, and “shake”. You can listen to the song here:
Objective: Actions verbs.
